Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: August 2026

Thank you for choosing Process Strategies. These Terms & Conditions are designed to clearly explain the nature of our services, what you can expect when working with us, and the responsibilities of both Process Strategies and our clients.

By using this website, booking a service, submitting information, or purchasing a service from Process Strategies, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Professional Services

Process Strategies provides risk-focused advisory services designed to help business owners, operators, and leadership teams better understand potential risks, internal-control gaps, oversight concerns, and areas where stronger safeguards may be appropriate.

Services are provided from a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) perspective and may incorporate principles related to fraud risk awareness, internal controls, accountability, compliance, governance, documentation, and organizational risk.

The specific nature and scope of services will depend on the service purchased or otherwise agreed upon.

2. 45-Minute Mini Risk Assessment & Strategy Review

The 45-Minute Mini Risk Assessment & Strategy Review is a paid professional service.

Payment is required at the time of booking in order to reserve the session.

During the session, Process Strategies will use a structured 20-Point Risk & Controls framework and targeted discussion to better understand how certain areas of the client's business are currently structured.

Topics may include:

  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Access and authority
  • Approvals
  • Oversight
  • Segregation of duties
  • Documentation
  • Accountability
  • Internal controls
  • Business processes
  • Potential red flags
  • Fraud and misuse prevention
  • Other areas that may create unnecessary exposure

The session is intended to provide the client with a focused, practical starting point for understanding potential risk and control considerations.

3. Snapshot Risk Report

Following the Risk Assessment & Strategy Review, the client will receive a personalized Snapshot Risk Report based on information discussed or provided during the session.

The report may include:

  • Areas reviewed
  • Potential risk or control gaps identified
  • Areas that may warrant additional attention
  • Recommended starting points
  • Practical controls or safeguards to consider
  • Priorities for strengthening accountability or oversight
  • Suggested next steps

The Snapshot Risk Report represents a point-in-time assessment based on the information reasonably available during the engagement.

It is intended to provide practical guidance and a starting point. It should not be interpreted as a comprehensive assessment of every risk that may exist within the business.

4. This Service Is Not an Audit

The Mini Risk Assessment & Strategy Review and Snapshot Risk Report do not constitute an audit, financial statement audit, attestation engagement, examination, certification, or assurance engagement.

Process Strategies does not express an audit opinion or provide assurance regarding:

  • Financial statements
  • Financial records
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Effectiveness of all internal controls
  • Accuracy or completeness of information provided by the client
  • Overall condition of the client's business

References to risk, controls, oversight, transactions, documentation, or business processes should not be interpreted as the performance of a financial audit.

5. This Service Is Not an Investigation

The 45-Minute Mini Risk Assessment & Strategy Review does not constitute a fraud examination, formal investigation, forensic accounting engagement, background investigation, or private-investigator engagement.

During a Risk Review, Process Strategies may identify a potential red flag, inconsistency, control concern, or issue that may warrant further attention.

If a matter appears to require additional professional services, the client may be advised to seek appropriate legal, accounting, investigative, cybersecurity, law-enforcement, human-resources, or other specialized assistance.

Any separate service offered by Process Strategies would require an appropriate review of the matter and a separate scope or agreement before work begins.

6. Limited Scope of Review

A 45-minute review cannot identify every possible risk within a business.

The Mini Risk Assessment & Strategy Review is intentionally limited in scope and is designed to provide a snapshot, not a comprehensive examination of the client's organization.

Process Strategies does not represent or guarantee that the service will identify:

  • Every control weakness
  • Every instance of fraud or misconduct
  • Every error or irregularity
  • Every compliance issue
  • Every operational weakness
  • Every potential loss
  • Every legal or regulatory concern

The absence of an identified issue should not be interpreted as confirmation that no such issue exists.

7. No Guarantee of Fraud Detection or Prevention

Internal controls and risk-management practices can help reduce exposure, but no system can eliminate all risk.

Process Strategies does not guarantee that recommendations provided will prevent fraud, misconduct, errors, losses, regulatory issues, employee actions, third-party actions, or other adverse events.

Likewise, completion of a Risk Review does not constitute certification that the client's business is "fraud-proof," fully compliant, or free from risk.

8. Client Information and Responsibilities

Our ability to provide meaningful guidance depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information provided by the client.

Clients are responsible for providing information that is truthful and accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, Process Strategies is entitled to rely upon information and representations provided by the client and is not required to independently verify every statement, document, record, or representation.

The client is also responsible for determining whether and how recommendations will be implemented.

9. Authority to Provide Information

By submitting documents, records, business information, employee information, or other materials to Process Strategies, the client represents that they have the appropriate authority or lawful basis to provide that information.

Clients should not knowingly submit confidential, proprietary, personal, privileged, or otherwise restricted information that they are not authorized to disclose.

10. Confidentiality

Process Strategies recognizes that risk, control, fraud, compliance, and business-related matters may involve sensitive information.

Information received in connection with an engagement will be handled with professional discretion and appropriate care.

Consistent with applicable professional responsibilities, confidential information obtained during an engagement will not be intentionally disclosed to unauthorized parties except when:

  • Authorized by the client;
  • Necessary to provide the agreed service;
  • Required by applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other lawful authority; or
  • Otherwise permitted or required under applicable professional or legal obligations.

No electronic communication or information-storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. CFE Professional Perspective

Services referencing a Certified Fraud Examiner perspective are informed by professional training and experience in fraud risk, internal controls, compliance, governance, investigations, and related areas.

Process Strategies may identify red flags, inconsistencies, control weaknesses, or circumstances that warrant further review.

However, Process Strategies will not use the Risk Review to determine or declare that an individual or organization is legally guilty, innocent, criminally liable, or civilly liable.

Such determinations belong to the appropriate courts, regulatory bodies, law-enforcement agencies, or other authorized parties.

12. Not Legal, Tax, Investment, or Licensed Accounting Advice

Information provided by Process Strategies is intended for business risk and advisory purposes.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise through an appropriately qualified professional engagement, services do not constitute:

  • Legal advice
  • Tax advice
  • Investment advice
  • Financial planning
  • Certified public accounting services
  • Financial statement auditing
  • Legal opinions
  • Regulatory opinions

Clients should consult an attorney, CPA, tax professional, financial adviser, human-resources professional, cybersecurity professional, or other qualified specialist when circumstances require expertise outside the scope of the engagement.

13. Payment

Services offered through the Process Strategies website are paid professional services unless expressly identified otherwise.

The applicable fee is displayed before booking or purchase.

Payment in full is generally required before a scheduled service is confirmed.

Purchasing a session reserves professional time and may also include preparation, assessment materials, post-session analysis, and preparation of the Snapshot Risk Report.

The fee therefore represents the overall professional service and deliverables—not solely the minutes spent in the scheduled meeting.

14. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Clients who are unable to attend a scheduled appointment should contact Process Strategies as soon as reasonably possible.

Rescheduling requests should generally be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.

Failure to attend a scheduled appointment does not automatically entitle the client to a refund.

Any cancellation, rescheduling, refund, or credit determination may take into consideration professional time already reserved or work already performed in preparation for the engagement.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or cancellation right that may be required by applicable law.

15. Completed Services and Reports

Once a professional session has been conducted or substantive work on the client's Snapshot Risk Report has begun, fees associated with the completed or substantially commenced professional service are generally non-refundable, except where otherwise required by law.

If Process Strategies must cancel an appointment and cannot reasonably reschedule it, the client will be offered an appropriate remedy, which may include rescheduling or refunding the affected service.

16. Report Delivery

Snapshot Risk Reports are prepared after the scheduled session.

Because each review is individualized, reports are not automatically generated during the meeting.

The anticipated delivery timeframe will be communicated through the booking process, during the engagement, or following the session.

Delivery timelines may be affected if additional information or clarification is required from the client.

17. Use of the Snapshot Risk Report

The Snapshot Risk Report is prepared specifically for the client based on the limited scope of the Risk Review.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, it is intended for the client's internal informational and business-planning purposes.

The report may not be represented as:

  • An independent audit opinion
  • An assurance report
  • A certification
  • A legal opinion
  • A regulatory determination
  • A guarantee of compliance
  • A guarantee that fraud does or does not exist

Third parties should not rely upon the report as though Process Strategies performed services specifically for their benefit.

18. Intellectual Property

Process Strategies retains ownership of its pre-existing and proprietary materials, including its:

  • 20-Point Risk & Controls framework
  • Checklists
  • Assessment methods
  • Templates
  • Questionnaires
  • Training materials
  • Processes
  • Frameworks
  • Written methodologies
  • Branded materials

Clients may use materials specifically provided to them for their own legitimate internal business purposes.

Materials may not be reproduced, republished, sold, licensed, distributed, used to create competing products or services, or commercially exploited without prior written authorization from Process Strategies.

19. No Continuing Monitoring Obligation

Unless Process Strategies is separately engaged to provide continuing services, the professional relationship ends after completion of the agreed service and delivery of any applicable deliverables.

Process Strategies has no continuing obligation to:

  • Monitor the client's business
  • Determine whether recommendations were implemented
  • Identify subsequent changes
  • Update previously identified risk areas
  • Detect future fraud or misconduct
  • Update the Snapshot Risk Report

Business conditions change, and recommendations should be reconsidered as the organization grows or circumstances change.

20. Recommendations and Business Decisions

Recommendations provided by Process Strategies are intended to assist clients in making informed decisions.

The client remains solely responsible for business decisions, staffing decisions, disciplinary decisions, implementation of controls, expenditures, operations, compliance decisions, and any other actions taken following the engagement.

Process Strategies does not assume management responsibility for the client's business.

21. No Guaranteed Outcome

Process Strategies provides professional judgment, recommendations, and risk-focused guidance based on the scope of the engagement and information available.

No specific business, financial, operational, regulatory, employment, litigation, investigative, or other outcome is promised or guaranteed.

Statements regarding the potential benefit of stronger internal controls or proactive risk management are educational and advisory in nature and should not be interpreted as a promise of specific savings, profits, loss avoidance, or other financial results.

22. Right to Decline or Discontinue Services

Process Strategies reserves the right to decline, limit, or discontinue an engagement when appropriate, including when:

  • A potential conflict of interest exists
  • The requested work falls outside our professional scope
  • The matter requires credentials or licensure not held by Process Strategies
  • The client requests unlawful or unethical conduct
  • Necessary information is withheld
  • The engagement becomes inappropriate or impracticable
  • Continued work could compromise professional independence or objectivity

When appropriate, the client may be encouraged to seek assistance from another qualified professional.

23. No Emergency Services

Process Strategies is not an emergency-response service, law-enforcement agency, legal hotline, cybersecurity emergency service, or crisis-intervention provider.

Do not rely on website inquiries, email, booking requests, or Risk Review appointments for emergencies or situations requiring immediate intervention.

If a matter involves immediate threats to health or safety, suspected ongoing criminal activity, urgent cybersecurity compromise, legal deadlines, or another emergency, contact the appropriate qualified professional or public authority.

24. Electronic Communications

By communicating with Process Strategies electronically, you acknowledge that email, online scheduling systems, video conferencing, and other electronic communications may involve inherent privacy and security risks.

Clients are responsible for using reasonable care when transmitting particularly sensitive information.

25. Website Information

Information contained on this website is provided for general informational purposes and does not establish a professional engagement merely because someone visits the website, reads its content, sends a general inquiry, or downloads information.

A professional engagement begins only after Process Strategies accepts the engagement and any required booking, payment, or other engagement requirements have been completed.

26. Changes to These Terms

Process Strategies may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes in services, business practices, legal requirements, or professional standards.

The version posted on this website at the time a service is purchased will generally govern that transaction unless otherwise agreed in writing.

27. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are intended to be governed by the laws applicable to Process Strategies and the services being provided, without limiting any rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
